Our company has six styles of bucket teeth, which helps to cater to our various clients in Toronto.

The six bucket teeth we sell at Cable Craft in Toronto are the following:

1. Caterpillar Style – A two piece steel pin and steel or sleeved retainer, where the retainer is a lock washer that is recessed into the adapter

2. Esco Conical Style – A two piece steel pin and rubber lock, where the lock is set inside the nose of the adapter and the tooth is put on with the steel pin driven into the top of the tooth

3. Esco Heli/Vertalok Style – Helilok is a 1 piece horseshoe shaped pin/lock system and the Vertalok is a 2 piece pin and plug system

4. H & L Style – A one piece steel and rubber flex pin

5. Komatsu Style – A one piece pin with a steel snap ring in the center of the pin

6. Hensley Parabolic Style – A one piece steel and rubber flex pin or all steel pin, where the small teeth use a round steel roll pin

How to Identify Common Styles of Bucket Teeth

CATERPILLAR STYLE

Caterpiller

Caterpillar style teeth are most commonly identified by the round side pin hole in the tooth. The locking system is usually a two piece steel pin and steel or sleeved retainer. The retainer is a lock washer that is recessed into the adapter.

ESCO CONICAL STYLE

Esco Conical

Esco conical style teeth are usually identified by the rectangular top pin hole in the tooth. The locking system is usually a two piece steel pin and rubber lock. The lock is set inside the nose of the adapter and then the tooth is put on and steel pin driven into the top of the tooth.

ESCO HELI/VERTALOK STYLE

Esco Heli Vertalok

Esco Heli/Vertalok teeth are usually identified by the lack of any pin holes in the tooth, however there are 2 outside “ears” on the pocket of the tooth. Helilok is a 1 piece horseshoe shaped pin/lock system and the Vertalok is a 2 piece pin & plug system.

H&L STYLE

H&L STYLE

H&L style teeth are most commonly identified by the oblong side pin hole in the tooth. The locking system is usually a one piece steel/rubber flex pin. There are some uncommon top pin H&L teeth. They are the same of pin system.

KOMATSU STYLE

Komatsu Style

Komatsu style teeth are usually identified by the round side pin hole in the tooth. The locking system is usually a one piece steel pin with a steel snap ring in the center of the pin.

HENSLEY PARABOLIC STYLE

Hensley parabolic Style

Hensley style teeth are usually identified by the rectangular or round top pin holes in the tooth. The locking system is a one piece steel/rubber flex pin or all steel pin. The small teeth use a round steel roll pin. There are some rare side pin Hensley style teeth.

How to Identify Common Styles of Bucket Teeth

CATERPILLAR

CATERPILLAR

Caterpillar ripper teeth are identified by the vertically oblong holes. They use a steel round pin that has a snap ring in the middle of the pin.

ESCO

Esco

Esco ripper teeth are identified by the ears protruding from the side on the pocket. There is a round hole in the ear to allow for the steel pin & rubber bushing locking system.

H&L

H&L

H&L ripper teeth look similar to their bucket teeth with the side oblong hole and standard square box. For the locking system they use a select rubber flex pain.

KOMATSU

Komatsu Style

The komatsu ripper tooth is easily mistaken for cat style. It uses the same style of steel pin snap ring locking system. The only minor difference is a round pin hole on the side.

ATECO

Ateco

Smaller Ateco ripper teeth have a std. style pocket that usually very tall. The larger teeth have a easily identifiable rounded pocket. They both use a 1 piece steel/rubber flex pain.

Our Toronto bucket teeth distribution system offers the following types of teeth for ground engaging tools:

o Standard Long – Used for a multi-purpose general duty tool
o Extra – Specialized for rock and all abrasive terrain
o Rock Chisel – Used for rock or hard ground
o Tiger – Gives excellent results in frost, rock or hardpan conditions
o Twin Tiger – Similar to the Tiger teeth, but only works with more penetration
o Penetration – Offers a continually sharp point with more wear material than a tiger
o Rock Abrasion – Used for high abrasion application
o Heavy Duty Long – Same uses as the standard long, but offers longer wear life
o SYL – Used for digging action in most medium to hard pack conditions

o Abrasion – Similar to the standard teeth but has a wider tip and an extra wear panel
o Rock Abrasion – Used for high abrasion application

STANDARD LONG

Standard Long

Used for a multi-purpose general duty tooth. It is a good choice for most basic jobs. Available in all styles of teeth for all sizes of equipment.

EXTRA

Extra

Premium designed tooth for max. Penetration and duration. Penetrative tip with the self sharpening rib, and reinforced box mean a specialized tooth for rock and all abrasive terrain.

ROCK CHISEL

Rock

Best used is rock or hard ground the tooth remains sharp throughout its life. Takes pressure off machine & bucket helping improve performance & lifespan.

TIGER

Tiger

Gives unmatched penetration in frost,rock or hardpan conditions, as well as remaining sharp. It has little wear material so the life span of the tooth is shortend

TWIN TIGER

Twin Tiger

Smaller to the tiger tooth, only with more penetration but less leverage. It will last longer than the tiger but requires more breakout force from the machine.

Penetration

For good penetration touch that offers a continually sharp point with more wear material than a tiger of twin tiger profile, this is the best choice. Available in caterpillar style only.

ROCK ABRASION

Rock Abrasion

This tooth is similar to a rock chisel profile, only with a lot more wear material on the underside of the teeth. An excellent choice in any high abrasion application.

HEAVY DUTY LONG

HDL

General purpose teeth similar to the standard long, only with more wear material throughout the tooth. This allows for longer wear life on the tooth.

SYL

SYL

Good penetration and digging action in most medium to hand pack conditions. The SYL offers a vertical rib on both side of the tooth to maintain a sharp point and average wear.

RIBBED

Ribbed

Designed for a wide variety of operating conditions. Penetrative tip, strengthening rib and constant thickness, gives a good balance of resistance & penetration.

Stn Loaders

Used for a multi-purpose general duty tooth. It is a good choice for most basic jobs. Available in all styles of teeth for all sizes of equipment.

ABRASION

The abrasion tooth offers similar applications as the standard only with a wider tip and an extra wear panel on the bottom of the tooth. This tooth may also be found on long grapples.

ROCK ABRASION

Ra Loaders

This tooth is similar to a rock chisel profile, only with a lot more wear material on the underside of the teeth. An excellent choice in any high abrasion application.

HEAVY DUTY LONG

Bucket Adapter Profiles

Cable Craft re-sells bucket adapters in Toronto to clients, in addition to the bucket teeth used for ground engaging tools.

We offer seven types of bucket adapters, offering a good variety in our Toronto bucket adapter distribution.

The seven types of bucket adapters sold out of our Toronto facility are the following:

1. Flushmount – Used exclusively on loaders and assists the loader to scrap clean

2. 1-1/2 Long Leg Top – Meant generally for loaders; Can also be used on excavators

3. 1-1/2 Long Leg Bottom – Used exclusively on excavators and helps provide support of the machine

4. 1-1/4 Long Leg Bottom – Used exclusively on excavators and backhoes and helps provide support of the machine

5. Weld-On Nose – A cost effective option for replacing worn out noses or for use on log grapples

6. 2 Leg Bolt-On – Meant generally for loaders

7. Flush Bolt-On – Used exclusively for small loaders and allows operators to easily change their existing bucket into a clean-up bucket

Bulldog Bucket Adapter Profiles

FLUSHMOUNT

FLUSH MOUNT

Used exclusively on loaders, this adapter sits on the top of the bucket tip, to allow for the loader to scrap clean. Available only in Caterpillar and H&I. styles. A notched left and right hand adapter is available is select Caterpillar sizes only.

1-1/2 LONG LEG TOP

1-1/2 LONG LEG TOP

Meant generally for loaders, this adapter can also be used on excavators. The loader application is good for buckets using a wear edge or tip protector between adapters. Available in Caterpillar,Hensley,H&K,Komatsu and Esco styles. An angled left and right hand adapter is available in select Cat sizes only.This adapter should not be found on Cat or Komatsu excavators!

1-1/2 LONG LEG BOTTOM

Long Leg Bottom

Used exclusively on excavators, this adapter straps around the lip with the longest leg on the bottom to provide support. Available in caterpillar and komatsu styles. A notched left and right hand adapter is available in select caterpillar sizes only.

1-1/4 LONG LEG BOTTOM

14 Leg-Bottom

Used exclusively on excavators and backhoes, this adapter straps around the lip with the longest leg on the bottom to provide support. Available for small caterpillar & H&L styles and most Esco styles.

WELD-ON NOSE

Weld On Nose

A cost effective option for replacing worn opt noses or for use on leg grapples. Available in all Caterpillar styles, most Esco styles as well as select Hensley style sizes.

2 LEG BOLT-ON

Le Bolt On

Generally used only on loaders, the double leg bolt-on adapter works well for operations to easily changes their existing bucket into a clean up bucket by simply removing the adapters. Available in select Caterpillar & Hensley style sizes only. Right and left hand adapters are available for caterpillar only.

FLUSH BOLT-ON

Flush Bolt On

Exclusively for small loaders, this adapter allows operators to easily change their existing bucket into a clean-up bucket by simply removing the adapters. Available in select Hensley style sizes only.
